Painting Gallery

Though I’ve painted for years as part of my Mixed-media exploration, doing a ‘stand-alone’ painting is a recent passion. With the flower series, I began painting in earnest as a response to my sister’s declining health from cancer. Her passion was gardening, so I began painting the flowers in her yard during the time I was her caretaker.

From there I let my brushes fly. I’ve never been formally trained in acrylic painting, but don’t let that stop me. My advice to the worriers out there, the ones who think that it has to be right, or (god-forbid) perfect or good, I say: “What’s the worst that can happen?"
(A: you paint over it if you don’t like it).​
